President-elect promises not to abandon war against Boko Haram

Muhammadu-Buhari-speechPresident-elect, Muhammadu Buhari has promised that his government will continue the fight against terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

Buhari also stated that the multinational force, involving Cameroon, Niger and Chad, which was formed to combat the sect would continue operations during his regime.

The President-elect made the statement on Monday, April 20, during a visit to his home in Kaduna State by the government and people of Borno State.

Buhari also said, according to a statement by Isa Gusau, the media aide of Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima that the restoration of peace in the troubled North-East would be a priority for his government.
